BAE Systems president resigns - Business First of Louisville:

Haverstein resigned as a directorr and chief operating officer of BAE Systems plc and presidentr and CEO of its subsidiary The resignation is effectivesJune 26, and he will exit the employment of BAE Systemsx Sept. 20. Pending appointment of a permanen replacement, BAE Systems Inc. board member Tony Zinnj was named acting president and CEO of BAESystemds Inc., according to a news release. “jI would like to thank (Haverstein) for his dedicatiob and leadership during his time as an executive director and for his part in the successfukl execution of BAE global strategy and to the growth of the USbasee business, BAE Systems Dick Olver, chairman of BAE Systems, said in the release.
Last year the defensse giant has salesexceeding $34.4 billion. BAE'es Louisville plant, located in the Airport Industrial Park, makes weapons and components forthe U.S. It employs about 300 workers.
